The Story

CJ Li is a Canadian pop singer-songwriter known for catchy pop-rock melodies, heartfelt ballads, and songs about chasing dreams, finding your own path, and never giving up.

Born in Vancouver, Canada, CJ studied Vocal Jazz at Capilano University before building an international music career in Japan. Over the years, she released multiple albums in English and Japanese, toured extensively, and performed more than 400 live shows. Her work has also appeared in television, film, advertising, and commercial music, including projects connected to Australia’s Next Top Model, Bridgestone, and Japan’s professional baseball industry.

CJ's music and performances have also reached audiences in China, the UAE, Mauritius, and the United States. She has performed at the NAMM Show as a Taylor Guitars artist and continues to collaborate with brands including Kepma Guitars, Zemaitis Guitars, and Skysonic Pickups. Whether performing solo or with a full band, CJ brings an energetic and personal style to the stage. Her years of touring and independent music-making have shaped her into an artist who is equally passionate about songwriting, performance, and connecting directly with her audience.

After returning to Vancouver, CJ took time to complete her Bachelor of Education and expand her work as an educator while continuing to make music. She is now entering a new chapter creatively, balancing new CJ Li music with the launch of "CJ Little", a children’s pop-rock project inspired by her experience working with elementary-aged kids.

With an international catalogue, more than 400 live performances, and over 1 million video views, CJ continues to build on the career she started years ago- while exploring new ways to connect music, storytelling, and the communities around her.

Meet "CJ Little"

CJ Little is a children’s pop-rock project created by Canadian singer-songwriter and educator CJ Li.

While working with elementary-aged children, CJ noticed that many kids begin moving away from traditional children’s music and toward mainstream pop, even when those songs are written for teens or adults.

CJ Little was created to fill that gap with catchy, family-friendly pop-rock for elementary-aged listeners. The songs explore themes such as friendship, confidence, feelings and big dreams, with a sound designed to feel current and fun for kids.

CJ Little’s debut music is currently in production, with a full album coming in 2027.
