CJ Li, a vibrant pop singer-songwriter originally from Canada, infuses her music with a unique blend of cultural influences. A graduate of Vancouver's esteemed Capilano University, CJ holds a major in Vocal Jazz, showcasing her diverse musical education.
Her journey has taken her across borders, captivating audiences in the United Kingdom, U.A.E., China, America, Mauritius, and Japan. In 2012, CJ made the bold move from the scenic landscapes of Vancouver to the bustling metropolis of Tokyo, where her musical odyssey in Japan truly began.
With a string of 7 successful albums, CJ has etched her musical footprint in Japan, having graced over 400 stages with her enchanting performances. Her international exposure includes notable appearances at the NAMM show in California for Taylor Guitars and "Music China" in Beijing, representing SKYSONIC Pickups.
Beyond the stage, CJ extends her musical prowess to various mediums, composing for commercials, TV shows, Japanese anime, and major films. Notable collaborations include projects with Bridgestone, Japan’s major baseball league JERA, H.I.S Travel, and Australia’s Next Top Model.
CJ recently made the decision to return to her roots, relocating back to Canada. Now based in Vancouver, she is immersed in new projects, showcasing her commitment to musical innovation and quality songwriting. CJ is actively engaged with music companies such as Kepma Guitars, Zemaitis Guitars, and SKYSONIC Pickups.
Onstage, CJ mesmerizes audiences with her signature acoustic guitar, loop machine, and piano, delivering an electrifying repertoire of catchy pop tunes and heartfelt ballads. Her lyrics, both in English and Japanese, resonate with themes of dreams and triumph over life's challenges, creating a connection that transcends borders and cultures.
